The department of pain management was established in 1994.There are 6 doctors in the department now. There are 10000 outpatients and 300 inpatients treated in the department and about 150~200 operations performed every year. We are specialists on treatment for intercostal neuralgia, postherpetic pain ,Post-thoracotomy Pain Syndrome (PTPS),stomachache and perineum pain .We can perorm Percutaneous Vertebroplasty (PVP) and Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) for pain of cancerous bonemetastasis , neurolytic sympathetic plexus block and Radio Frequency Thermocoagulation (RFT) for neuralgia.

Our department is the first one for cancerous pain treatment and the technical level is in the leading position now in China .We are good at comprehensive treatment of cancerous pain , consist of psychotherapy ,chemotherapy and palliation.
