Conference Presentation

At the main conference, we brought together domestic and overseas experts to give keynote presentations and share the latest progress in hepatobiliary surgery and treatment of digestive diseases.

In the sub-sessions on hepatobiliary cancer, we focused on the early diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary cancer, the use of MDTs, and the standardized selection of surgical procedures. In the sub-session on MDTs, six teams from all over the country shared their experience in developing MDTs in hepatocellular carcinoma, biliary tract tumor and colon cancer liver metastasis. In the sub-session on accurate open surgery and the sub-session on laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, we brought together the new generation of hepatobiliary surgeons in China, who represent the future of Chinese hepatobiliary surgery. Prof. Tianqiang Song said that the development of technology in hepatobiliary surgery determines the development direction of hepatobiliary surgery, and the continuous progress of surgical technology. Particularly the extensive application of minimally invasive technology, will bring great benefit to patients. At the same time, the development of MDTs will enable the treatment of hepatobiliary cancer to be more precise, standardized and individualized.

The conference demonstrated the standardized treatment and surgical technology of hepatobiliary cancer in the Asia-pacific region, and the progress of treatment in digestive and infectious diseases in Tianjin and throughout the whole country.
