King’s has a distinguished reputation in several fields including the humanities, law, social sciences and the health sciences. Both sides have established a mechanism for promoting collaboration through leadership visits; faculty exchange; joint symposia and MDT tele-conferences in recent years. In October, 2015, The First Joint Symposium on Cancer Research between our two institutions was successfully held in Tianjin. In October, 2018, Prof. Ping Wang, President and Prof. Bo Xu, Vice President of TMUCIH led a delegation to visit King’s College London and both sides held the Second Joint Symposium.

The signing of MOU marks an important milestone for the strategic partnership and will open a new chapter in pushing our collaborative work to a higher level. We believe that this is an excellent start for a long term cooperative effort. I clearly foresee a brighter future is unfolding for us and expect multiple benefits by our close and extensive interactions.
