Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital Talents Work Conference was successfully held on June 21, 2022. The conference summarized the hospital talent work experience and effectiveness of the "13th Five-Year plan", analyzed the current situation and challenges, and put forward the overall layout of the "14th Five-year Plan" hospital talent work.

Prof. Wei Lu emphasized that the hospital should further strengthen the foundation of the party's management of talents, adhere to the correct political direction, create a good political ecology, form a good atmosphere of respecting and cultivating talents, strengthen forward-looking thinking, overall planning, strategic layout and overall promotion, and steadily promote the implementation of work. He stressed that the hospital will build a scientific, standardized, open, inclusive and efficient talent work system, and deeply implement the strategy of strengthening the hospital with talents in the new era. We should establish a correct and comprehensive view of talents and strive to form a good situation in which "everyone can become a talent and everyone can fully display their talents". We should deepen the reform of talent development system and mechanism, establish a scientific and reasonable talent evaluation system and service guarantee system, and reform the management of scientific research funds and scientific research projects. The hospital will develop based on exploring a new mode of cooperation between colleges and enterprises, colleges and universities, integrating the "production, learning, research and medicine", and promoting the innovative development of the medical industry.
