Doctor Zhang is a member of the Thyroid Cancer Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-cancer Association, standing committee member of the Thyroid Cancer Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-cancer Association, standing committee member of the Tumor Imaging Professional Committee of Tianjin Anticancer Association, standing committee member of the Superficial Organs and Vascular Committee of the Chinese Ultrasonic Medical Engineering Association, member of the Intervention Committee of the Chinese Ultrasonic Medical Engineering Association, Vice President of the Tianjin Ultrasonic Medical Engineering Association, member of the Ultrasonic Branch of Chinese Medical Association, vice president of Ultrasonic Branch of Tianjin Medical Association, vice chairman of the Laser Branch of Tianjin Medical Association.

Engaged in this profession 36 years, professor Zhang is good at superficial organs, abdominal and pelvic organs tumor ultrasound diagnosis, ultrasound guidance interventional diagnosis and treatment. The standardized division of cervical lymph nodes was first established by professor Zhang in the country, and the coincidence rate of location, qualitative and quantitative of metastatic lymph nodes in the neck reached to 95%. The improved TI-RADS ultrasonic classification system for thyroid nodule was first established and perfected by professor Zhang in the country,which get Tianjin Health system application of new technology to fill the gaps. Professor Zhang undertake and participate in 6 projects at or above the bureau level, participate in 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and undertake the research on ultrasonic diagnosis of breast fat necrosis and get Tianjin Health system application of new technology to fill the gaps. More than 30 articles have been published as the first author, the co-first author and the corresponding author, among which the highest IF is 36.418. Professor Zhang conduct ultrasound consultation on daily, more than 2500 difficult cases in the hospital each year, and more than 100 times was invited to attend the major consultation of the difficult and critical cases in the external hospital.
